Hippotherapy is the purposeful manipulation of the horses movement to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to achieve functional outcomes.
This treatment strategy is used by physical, occupational and speech therapists.
The sensory input positively impacts the patient’s state of arousal and often improves attention and focus towards participation in therapist guided speech and language interventions.

Our social programs are interactive trainings designed to improve pragmatic language skills.
Group treatments are organized so that each patient’s level of pragmatic language skills are closely matched.

This program offers a personalized consistent in center, virtual and home program approach to correcting speech and language skills.

Initial assessment to establish an individual treatment plan.

1x/60-minute speech therapy session per week or 2x/30-minute sessions per week. Each session may be virtual, or in person depending on the recommendations by the treating speech language pathologist.

Customized home program to ensure generalization of therapy goals.

Ongoing weekly email contacts with the treating speech language pathologist to communicate about how to assist with the home program, how to prompt, maintaining patient motivation, respond to questions.

In person or virtual parent meeting to discuss initial assessment and 3- and 6-month progress and recommendations.
Total Prepaid Plan: $5,600 (savings of $400)
Monthly payment plan $1,000 x 6 = $6,000
This is a private pay program. Insurance billing does not apply. Superbills are provided to patient upon request and may be submitted to insurance for reimbursement per the patient’s plan. Life Spirit Speech does not bill directly to insurance with this plan.
Hippotherapy is provided through The J.F. Shea Center. Fee information is determined by the center. Scholarship applications are accepted.
